Project settings let you configure everything about your project, from its title and language to its domain and site identity. You can access project settings at any time from the top navigation bar.

How to open project settings

Click the configuration icon next to the project switcher in the top navigation bar. This opens the project settings sidebar.

Settings sidebar

The project settings sidebar has a General tab plus a tab for each product you have enabled. For example, if you have the Website Builder and E-commerce active, you will see tabs for General, Website Builder, and E-commerce. The more products you enable, the more tabs will appear.

General settings overview

The General tab contains the following sections:

  • Project title — the name of your project. This is displayed in the project switcher and helps you identify each project.
  • Language — the primary language of your website.
  • Time zone — the time zone used for your project.
  • Domain configuration — choose between a WEMASY subdomain or a custom domain. You can set your subdomain URL or enter a custom domain URL.
  • Site identity — upload your logo, set a favicon, toggle the cookie consent bar, and configure the default form email.
  • Tracking code — the WEMASY tracking code that powers all your tools on external websites.
  • API access — create API tokens for advanced integrations.
  • Mark as theme — mark your project as a theme for other projects.
  • Transfer ownership — transfer the project to another verified user.

Note: Some settings such as API access and marking a project as a theme are advanced features. Most users will not need them.

Product tabs

Each product tab contains settings specific to that product. For example, the Website Builder tab controls how the builder behaves for your project. The tabs you see depend on which products are currently enabled for your project.

Tip: You can return to project settings at any time by clicking the configuration icon next to the project switcher.
