Cancelling your account

If you no longer need WEMASY, you can cancel your account entirely. This article explains the process and what to expect.

Cancelling your account vs. cancelling your plan

It is important to understand the difference between these two actions:

• Cancelling your plan downgrades your subscription. Your account remains active and you can continue using WEMASY on a free or lower tier.
• Cancelling your account permanently deletes your account and all associated data. This action cannot be undone.

Before you cancel

Before cancelling your account, consider the following:

• All your projects, data, files, and settings will be permanently deleted.
• You will lose access to any active subscriptions tied to your account.
• Other team members who depend on your projects may be affected.
• This action is irreversible. Once your account is deleted, your data cannot be recovered.

Tip: If you want to keep your account but stop paying, consider cancelling your plan instead. This lets you retain access to your account without an active subscription.

How to cancel your account

1. Click your avatar or initials in the top right corner of the dashboard.
2. Select My account from the dropdown menu.
3. Scroll to the bottom of the page to find the account cancellation option.
4. Follow the on-screen instructions to confirm the cancellation.
5. You may be asked to enter your password to verify your identity.

What happens after cancellation

Once you confirm the cancellation:

• Your account will be scheduled for permanent deletion.
• You will be logged out of all active sessions.
• All your data, including projects, files, and account information, will be permanently removed.
• You will no longer be able to log in with your email address.

Note: If you change your mind, contact WEMASY support as soon as possible. There may be a brief grace period before your data is permanently deleted, but this is not guaranteed.

Re-registering after cancellation

After your account has been deleted, you can create a new WEMASY account using the same email address. However, none of your previous data will be available. You will start with a fresh account.
