How do you preview your website before publishing

Home / Knowledge Base / General / How do you preview your website before publishing

Before making your website live, WEMASY Website Builder allows you to preview your website exactly as your visitors will see it. This feature ensures that your layout, text, images, buttons, and links are all displaying properly before any changes are made public. Previewing your site helps you identify visual or functional issues early, ensuring a flawless presentation once you hit publish.

Step 1:

After logging in to your WEMASY Dashboard, go to your main workspace — also known as the editor view. This is where you can edit, arrange, and customize the sections of your website.

Step 2:

At the top-right corner of your dashboard, locate the “Website” button positioned next to the red Publish button.

(This button may also appear as “Preview Website” depending on your version.)

Step 3:

Click the Website (Preview) button.

Step 4:

A new browser tab will automatically open, displaying a live preview of your website. This shows all the most recent edits you’ve made — including layout changes, updated text, and replaced images — without affecting your live version.

Step 5:

Review your content carefully. Make sure all text, images, and links appear as expected. Check the header, footer, and navigation menus for accuracy.

Step 6:

If something doesn’t look right, go back to the editor, make the required adjustments, and preview again until satisfied.

Step 7:

Once everything appears perfect, return to your dashboard and click the Publish button. This will apply all your recent updates to the live site.

Tip

Previewing does not affect your live website — it only shows unpublished changes. Always preview your design on both desktop and mobile views to ensure full responsiveness and a consistent user experience across all devices.
