WhatsApp button on your website

Many visitors would rather send a message than fill in a form or call. The WhatsApp button puts a floating chat button on every page of your WEMASY website. A tap opens WhatsApp with your number and a first message already filled in. You set it up in the Website Builder without any code.

Open the WhatsApp settings

1. Open Website Builder.
2. Click Customization in the left sidebar.
3. Click WhatsApp.

The same settings are also on the Site Builder tab of your project settings.

Turn the button on

1. Choose Yes to show the button on the site. Choose No to hide it completely.
2. Under Which look?, pick a style.
3. Fill in WhatsApp number (country code, no +), for example 31612345678.
4. Change First message they send if you want another opening line.
5. Under Where should it sit?, pick a corner.

The canvas shows the button right away. Publish your website so visitors see it.

The three looks

• Corner icon: a green button in the corner. A tap opens WhatsApp.
• Hello chip: the same button, plus a short Chat with us bubble.
• Chat card: a small chat card with your name and a first message.

Position and spacing

Pick Top left, Top right, Bottom left or Bottom right. Then set the distance from the edges with From the left or From the right, and From the top or From the bottom. Move the button away from the edge when it covers another floating element, such as a cookie bar or a popup button.

The number

Type the full international number without the plus sign, spaces or the leading zero of your local number. For a Dutch mobile number 06 12345678, that is 31612345678. Test the button on your phone after publishing: it should open a chat with your own business number.
