The Popup element shows one of your popups inside the page itself, instead of on top of it. Use it for a newsletter signup box between two sections, an offer in a blog post, or a form that sits in the page. The popup content comes from the Popups tool, so you design and measure it there.
Prepare the popup
- Create or open the popup in the Popups tool. See Creating a popup.
- In the popup's style settings, set Layout to In the page.
- Switch the popup on.
A popup in the page has no backdrop and no close button. It shows when the page opens.
Place it on a page
- Open the page in the Website Builder.
- Click Elements in the left sidebar.
- Drag Popup into a section.
- Open the element settings and choose the popup under Popup.
The element then says The popup shows here on your website. Until you choose one, it says No popup chosen.
Messages you may see
- (not in the page: change its look to In the page): the popup you chose still has another layout, such as a window in the middle. Change its Layout to In the page in the Popups tool.
- Pick a popup that shows in the page: choose a popup in the settings.
Edit the popup
Click Edit popup in the element settings to open the popup in the Popups tool. Changes to its content show everywhere the popup is placed. Design options: Designing a popup.
Check it on the live site
The element is a spot on the page: the popup itself is filled in on your published website. Publish your website and open the page to see it.
Tip: a signup box in the page annoys visitors less than a window that covers the content, and it still shows up where they read.
