The popup builder in WEMASY has settings on the left and your popup on the right. You change the words and images in the content designer, the shape and style on the Look tab, and the texts for visitors in other languages on the Languages tab. Popups use your website's colours, so they match the rest of your site.
Open the builder
- Open Popups and click Popups in the top menu.
- Click the preview of a popup, or its pencil icon.
The left side has four tabs: Settings, Look, A/B test and Languages. The right side has Preview and Content designer.
Change the content
- Click Content designer on the right.
- Click a text, button or image in the popup and change it.
- Your changes in the designer are saved there.
- Click Preview to see the result on a computer and on a phone.
The designed content is published with your website. Publish your website again to show a changed design to visitors.
Choose the layout
On the Look tab, choose a Layout:
- Window in the middle
- Box in a corner
- Bar at the top or Bar at the bottom. Tick Push the page down (the bar does not cover the top of the site) for a bar at the top.
- Full screen
- In the page: shows inside the page, without a backdrop or close button. On a WEMASY website, add the Popup block in the website designer. On another website, click Copy code and paste the code where it should show.
The Width and Screen position are on the Settings tab.
Style the look
- Background: click one of your website colours so the popup follows your site's colours, also when they change.
- Rounded corners, Space inside and Shadow.
- Backdrop colour, Backdrop darkness and Backdrop blur for the area behind the popup.
- Close button colour.
- Animation: Fade in, Zoom in, Slide up or None.
- Full width on phones.
- Side tab after closing: a few words on a small tab at the left edge, such as "10% off". A click opens the popup again.
Click Save to keep the look. Look changes reach your site within about a minute.
Show the popup in other languages
- Open the Languages tab.
- Choose a language under Add a language and click Add.
- Type the texts, or click Translate with AI.
- Click Save for that language.
Visitors whose language has no texts here see the popup as designed. The tab also tells you when many visitors read a language you have not added yet.

The designed content is published with your website. Publish your website again after changing the design.
How do I change the button colours?
Buttons use your website's colours. Change them for the whole website in its styling, and the popup follows.
