The WEMASY AI chat is an assistant that works inside your project. You describe what you want in your own words, and the AI does the work: it builds and edits pages, sets up products, and answers questions about your website. This article explains how to open the chat, the two ways to work with it, and who can use it.
Who can use the AI chat
The AI chat is available when your account has AI credits left or a paid plan. Each answer uses AI credits. See AI credits in the chat. The chat is hidden during the setup wizard.
Open the chat from any page
- Open a project.
- Click the round AI Magic button in the bottom right corner.
- Type your request in the message field.
- Send the message.
The chat opens on top of the page you are on. Close it with the close button and open it again later to continue. See The floating WEMASY button.
Work in AI Magic mode
In AI Magic mode the chat fills your workspace. You talk to the AI and see your website change next to the chat.
- Find the Workspace mode switch in the top bar. It has two small icons.
- Click the sparkle icon, AI Magic.
- Type your request in the chat.
Click the cursor icon, Manual, to go back to editing yourself. WEMASY remembers the mode you used last.
Write a good request
- Say what you want as the result, for example "Add a pricing section to the homepage with three packages".
- Give the facts the AI cannot know, such as prices, opening hours, or your phone number.
- Ask one thing at a time for big changes, and check the result before the next step.
- Add an image or a screenshot to the chat when it helps explain what you mean.
Dictate instead of typing
In the WEMASY app, tap the microphone button next to the AI Magic button. The chat opens and starts recording right away. Your speech turns into text when you stop or send.
Each project has its own chats
A chat belongs to the project you opened it in. The AI only works on that project. To work on another website, switch project first. See Managing AI chat conversations.
Tip: Fill in the AI Preferences of your project first, so the AI knows your tone of voice and business. See AI settings in your account.
Frequently asked questions
Why is the AI Magic button missing?
The chat needs AI credits or a paid plan on your account. It is also hidden during the setup wizard. In AI Magic mode there is no button because the chat is already your workspace.
Does the AI change my live website right away?
The AI edits your project like you would in the editor. Publishing your website live is a separate step, and the AI asks for your confirmation before it publishes. See AI chat confirmations and changes.
