The WEMASY Website Builder has AI built into the places where you work: a button to rewrite a piece of text, a switch to let the AI build with you, and prompts on empty screens. This article shows each AI button in the builder and what it does. The buttons only appear when AI is turned on for your account.
Rewrite text with AI
Use this when a paragraph is too long, too stiff or has typos.
- Click a text on the canvas to open its toolbar.
- Click AI in the toolbar. The Rewrite with AI window opens with your current text.
- Click a quick option, such as Shorter, Longer, More professional, Friendlier or Fix spelling, or type your own wish under What should change?
- Click Generate draft.
- Use the Current and New switch to compare the draft with your text.
- Click Apply to replace the text on the page.
Nothing changes on your page until you click Apply. Earlier drafts stay available under Versions in the same window. If you see Could not generate a draft. Try again., wait a moment and generate again.
Switch between Manual and AI Magic
In the middle of the top bar is the workspace switch with Manual and AI Magic.
- Manual is the normal builder with the sidebar, panels and canvas.
- AI Magic replaces the sidebar with the AI chat. You pick the page you want to work on in the bar above the page, and describe what you want in the chat.
Switch back to Manual at any time to make small changes yourself. How the AI chat works is explained in Using AI in the Website Builder.
Ask AI to create your homepage
When your project has no homepage yet, the builder shows Create your homepage with a text box that says Ask WEMASY to create your homepage…
- Describe your business and what the homepage should contain.
- Press Enter or click Send.
The AI chat opens full screen with your request. Prefer to build it yourself? Click Create your first page or Start from a theme on the same screen.
Ask AI to create a missing page
When you open a page, layout or template that does not exist, the builder shows a text box such as Ask WEMASY to create this page…. Describe what the page should contain and send it. The AI prepares the page as a proposal, so you can check it before it is applied. Proposed changes wait in Automations until you approve or deny them.
Turn AI on for your account
If you do not see the AI button or the AI Magic switch, AI is not turned on for your account. See AI settings in your account. AI use may depend on your plan: see pricing.
Tip: always read an AI draft before you apply it, especially prices, opening hours and other facts about your business.
Frequently asked questions
Does Rewrite with AI change my page right away?
No. It only makes a draft. Your text on the page changes when you click Apply.
Can I undo a change I applied?
Edit the text again, or go back to an earlier moment in the site history if your project uses site versions. See Site versions and change history.
