Waitlist

When a resource is full, guests can join a waitlist instead of leaving. When a place opens up before the start, WEMASY books the next guest on the list in and sends them an email with their booking code. The waitlist works for every booking type.

Turn on the waitlist

1. Open Reservations & Bookings from the product switcher.
2. Click Resources in the top menu.
3. Open the resource.
4. Go to Waitlist and cancellations.
5. Turn on Enable waitlist.
6. Enter the Max waitlist size.
7. Click Update.

Free cancellation

In the same section, Free cancellation (hours) sets how many hours before the start a guest can cancel and get the credit back or a refund. A cancel after that time counts as a late cancel. A guest who cancels early frees the place, and the next guest on the waitlist gets it.

See who is waiting

1. Click Waitlist in the top menu.
2. Search by guest, phone or email.

The list shows each guest with the resource, party size, start and end time, contact details and status. It is a list to look at. You do not hand out places yourself: WEMASY books waiting guests in when a place opens up.

Emails guests receive

• When they join: their place on the list and a link to leave the waitlist.
• When a place opens up: an email that they are booked in, with the booking code and a calendar file.

Tip: in Bookings, the table planner shows how many guests are waiting for a resource, so you can see where demand is highest.

For the other settings of a resource, see Create a resource and set availability.
