The Reservations & Bookings settings control how guests pay, how long a time slot is held, and whether guests get a reminder. Most settings are shared with your Webshop. A few are only for bookings.
Open the settings
- Click the configuration icon next to the project switcher in the top navigation bar.
- Click the Reservations & Bookings tab.
See Project settings for the settings sidebar.
Shared with Webshop
Sections marked Shared with Webshop are stored once for the project. A change here also changes the Webshop settings. They include:
- Checkout pages: the cart, checkout and thank-you pages bookings are paid on.
- Order & invoice numbers.
- Payment methods: Mollie, Stripe, bank transfer and payment on site. Razorpay is available for shops in India.
- Tax and Invoices.
- Customer accounts, needed for My bookings, credits and memberships.
- The payment reminder for unpaid orders.
- Order & booking emails: who receives copies of the emails.
For details on payment keys, see Webshop settings and payments.
Only for bookings
- Cart hold (minutes): how long a slot in someone's cart is kept from other customers. The default is 15.
- Payment hold (minutes): how long the slot stays reserved after an online payment starts. The default is 10. Bank transfer and payment on site keep the slot until you mark the order paid or cancel it.
- Reminder before a booking (hours): send the guest a reminder this many hours before the start. Empty or 0 means no reminder, which is the default. 24 means the day before.
- No-shows before online booking pauses: a guest who does not show up this often in 30 days cannot book online for a while. Set the length under Pause online booking for (days).
- Kitchen pacing: new guests per window: for restaurants, the most new guests that can arrive in one window.
- Members may pause (days a year) and Members may give credits to someone: let members do this from their own account.
Emails guests and you receive
- The guest gets an order confirmation with the booking and a calendar file.
- You get a new booking email with a View booking button.
- The guest gets a reminder, if you set the reminder hours.
- The guest gets an email when you move or cancel a booking and choose to mail them. You get an email when the guest moves or cancels it.
Guests with a customer account can move or cancel a booking themselves under My bookings. The emails have no cancel link: guests without an account reply to the email instead.
Frequently asked questions
Why did changing a payment method also change my webshop?
Payment methods are shared with Webshop and stored once for the project. Bookings and shop orders always use the same checkout.
How do I send guests a reminder?
Enter a number of hours in Reminder before a booking (hours), for example 24 for the day before. The reminder is off until you fill it in.
