Check-in and attendance

Learn how to check in guests with a QR code or booking code, print an attendance list and mark no-shows in Reservations & Bookings.

Every booking confirmation contains a check-in QR code and a booking code. On the day itself you scan that code at the door, or you work from the attendance list per class or event. This shows who arrived and who did not show up.

Check in a guest

  1. Open Reservations & Bookings from the product switcher.
  2. Click Check-in in the top menu.
  3. Click Scan with camera.
  4. Hold the guest's QR code in front of the camera.
  5. Click Check in.
  6. Click Next guest for the following guest.

If the camera does not work, type the booking code in the field and click Find. The screen warns you when a booking is for another day, is cancelled or was already checked in. Use Undo if you checked in the wrong guest. The screen also shows how many of today's guests have arrived.

Use the attendance list

  1. Click Attendance in the top menu.
  2. Use Previous day, Today or Next day to pick the day.
  3. Click Check in next to each guest who arrives.
  4. Click Print for a paper list.

The list shows each class or event of the day with the places booked, the guests, their notes and their payment status.

Mark a no-show or completed booking

In Bookings, open the booking and click No-show when the guest did not come, or Completed when the visit is over. Undo check-in and Back to booked reverse a status.

You can pause online booking for guests who often do not show up. Set this under No-shows before online booking pauses in the settings. See Reservations settings, payments and emails.

Tip: open the Check-in screen on a tablet or phone at the door. If your browser cannot scan, scan the guest's QR code with your phone camera: it opens the check-in page.
