A newsletter is one email that goes to everyone on the lists you pick. In Newsletter & Campaign you send it from the Send newsletter page in three steps: who gets it, what they get and when. You can send it right away or schedule it for later.
Open the send page
- Open Newsletter & Campaign from the product switcher.
- On the Overview page, click Send a newsletter.
You can also click Send next to an email on the Emails page. That email is then already selected.
Step 1: choose who gets it
- Under Who gets it?, tick one or more lists.
- Check the number of people below the lists.
Only contacts who confirmed their subscription receive the newsletter. If nobody on the chosen lists has confirmed yet, the page tells you so. No lists yet? Click Create a list.
Step 2: choose what they get
- Under What do they get?, enter the subject of the email.
- Click Design the email to build a new email.
Or click Send an email you made before… to pick an email from your library. After choosing, you can click Edit email to change it or Use another email to pick a different one. See Creating emails with the email builder for how the builder works.
Step 3: choose when
- Under When?, choose Now to send it within the next minute, or Later to pick a date and time.
- Click the send button. It shows how many people get the email, or the moment you scheduled.
- Click Yes, go to confirm.
When it is done you see Your newsletter is on its way, or the date it is scheduled for. Click View campaign to follow it, or Send another to start a new one.
What happens after sending
Every newsletter you send becomes a campaign on the Campaigns page. There you see its results: how many emails were sent, opened and clicked, and who unsubscribed. Read more in Campaign results and statistics.
Each email includes an unsubscribe link, and contacts who unsubscribed, bounced or marked your email as spam are left out automatically.
Tip: send a test to yourself from the email builder before you send to your lists. To send emails by themselves after someone joins, use a welcome series instead.
Frequently asked questions
Why does my newsletter go out in parts?
A new sender sends campaign emails in steps over the first days, and every project has a daily maximum for campaign emails. Emails over that wait for the next day and are never lost. The campaign page tells you when the rest goes out.
Can I send a series of emails instead of one?
Yes. Use a campaign with more than one email, each with its own moment. Create a campaign and add the emails there.
