The Students and Insights tabs of a course show who is enrolled, how far each student is, and where students get stuck. From there you can give or take away access and send a stuck student a short personal message.
See your students
Open your course and select the Students tab. The table lists everyone enrolled in the course with:
- Student and Status: Active, Completed or Revoked.
- Progress: the share of published lessons the student completed.
- Quizzes: passed quizzes, best score and attempts, when the course has a quiz.
- Source: Free, Purchase or Added by you.
- Enrolled: the date the student joined.
The tiles above the tabs show the totals for Students, Completed, Average progress and Revoked. Use Search students to find a person. Click a student to see their progress per lesson, their last activity, their next lesson and the quiz questions they got wrong.
Enroll a student
- Open the Students tab.
- Enter the email of the student under Enroll a student.
- Click Enroll.
The email must belong to a customer account in your shop. Ask the student to create an account on your website first if they do not have one. Students who buy a paid course are enrolled automatically, see Selling a course or offering it for free.
Revoke access
- Find the student in the table.
- Click Revoke access.
- Confirm.
The student loses access, but their progress is kept. To give access again, click Enroll on their row. A student cannot enroll again in a free course after you revoked them. Only you can.
Find where students get stuck
The Insights tab shows, for each published lesson in order, how many students finished it and how long it usually took. It also lists:
- Hardest questions: the quiz questions answered wrong most, with the wrong answer chosen most. See Adding quizzes to a course.
- Students who are stuck: active students whose next lesson waits and who did nothing for 7 days or more.
- The number of AI tutor questions per lesson this month, when the AI tutor is on. See Certificates and the AI tutor.
Send a stuck student a message
- Open the Insights tab.
- Click Draft a message next to the student.
- Change the Subject and Message as you like.
- Click Send.
The AI writes the draft. Without AI, you get a standard text. The email is sent from your shop with a button to continue the course. Nothing is sent until you click Send.
Tip: A lesson with low completion or many stuck students often needs a shorter text or an extra example. Check the Insights tab after your first students have started.
Frequently asked questions
Why do I see No customer account with this email in your shop?
You can only enroll people who have a customer account on your website. Ask them to create an account with that email, then enroll them again.
Is there a maximum number of students?
Your plan can limit the students per course for free and manual enrollment. When you reach it you see that the course has reached its number of students. Customers who buy the course are always enrolled.
