How do you create your first homepage

Home / Knowledge Base / Website Builder / How do you create your first homepage

Your homepage is the first impression visitors get of your website — and with WEMASY Website Builder, creating it is simple, visual, and fully customizable. Whether you start from scratch or use one of WEMASY’s ready-made templates, this process helps you design a homepage that perfectly represents your brand and engages your visitors.

Step 1. Log in to your dashboard

Go to dashboard.wemasy.com and sign in with your registered WEMASY account credentials.

Once you’re logged in, select the project or website you want to work on from your dashboard. This will take you directly into your project management area, where all editing tools are accessible.

Step 2. Open the website editor

From the WEMASY Dashboard, locate your website project and click “Edit Website.”

This action will open the visual website editor, the central workspace where you can design, edit, and manage every aspect of your website. The editor allows real-time updates, meaning you can see every change as you make it.

Step 3. Create or select the homepage

If a homepage already exists (commonly named “Home”), simply click on it from the Pages menu in the left sidebar to open it for editing.

If you don’t have one yet, click “+ New Page” and name it Home.

You’ll then be prompted to choose a layout option:

  • Blank Page – start completely from scratch with your own custom design.

  • Template Page – select from WEMASY’s professionally designed homepage templates.

Once you’ve made your choice, click Create to begin editing your new homepage.

Step 4. Add and arrange page sections

WEMASY’s drag-and-drop builder makes it easy to visually structure your homepage. You can freely add, move, and edit content blocks to match your desired design.

Some common homepage sections include:

  • Header/Banner: Use this area to showcase your main message, tagline, or featured image.

  • About Section: Introduce your brand, business, or mission statement.

  • Features/Services: Highlight your core offerings or unique selling points.

  • Testimonials/Portfolio: Add client reviews, success stories, or past work samples.

  • Contact Section: Include a contact form, business address, or call-to-action button.

Tip: Click the “+ Add Section” button to insert new blocks. You can easily drag and drop them up or down to change the order of your layout.

Step 5. Save and preview

After designing your homepage, click Save to store your progress.

Then, use the Preview (Website) button in the top-right corner to view your homepage as visitors will see it.

Once everything looks perfect, you can publish your site to make it live.
