How do you add links to text

You can easily turn any text into a clickable link in WEMASY Website Builder. This feature helps you connect pages, direct visitors to useful resources, or open external websites directly from your content. Linking text improves navigation and enhances your site’s overall user experience.

Step 1. Open your page

Log in to your WEMASY Dashboard, open your website project, and select the page you want to edit.

Click inside the text block where you want to add a link — this activates the inline text editor.

Step 2. Highlight your text

Using your mouse, highlight the specific portion of text you want to make clickable.

For example, you can select words like Learn More, View Pricing, or Contact Us.

Step 3. Click the link icon

From the formatting toolbar above your text, click the Link icon.

The Add Link panel will open on the right side of the editor.

This panel allows you to define the type of link and its behavior.

Step 4. Choose your link type

In the Link Type dropdown menu, select one of the following options:

• Link – Connect to an external website or another page on your site.

• Anchor – Link to a specific section within the same page (useful for long pages or navigation menus).

Step 5. Enter your link address

In the Link Address field, type the URL or internal path.

Examples:

• External: https://wemasy.com/pricing

• Internal: /about-us or /solutions

Step 6. Adjust optional settings

You can enhance your link behavior with additional options:

• Open in new tab? → Enable for external links.

• Don’t let search engines follow → Use for nofollow links (SEO control).

• Don’t show line under link → Removes underline for a cleaner design.

Step 7. Apply your link

Click the Link button at the bottom right of the panel to apply changes.

Your selected text is now clickable and will direct users to the chosen destination.
