Popup statistics show whether your popups help or get in the way. WEMASY counts how often each popup could open, how often it was seen, how often it was closed and how often visitors did what you wanted, such as sending its form. You find the numbers on the Overview page of Popups and on each popup card.
Open the statistics
- Open Popups from the product switcher.
- Click Overview in the top menu.
- Scroll to What your popups bring in.
Choose the period with Last 7 days, Last 30 days or Last 90 days. The default is the last 30 days. Each card in the Popups list also shows its views and conversion rate of the last 30 days.
What the numbers mean
- Shown chances: visits where the popup could open, on the right page, device and frequency. Counted once per visitor, popup and day.
- Views: how often the popup was really shown. Counted once per visitor, popup and day.
- Open rate: views divided by shown chances. A low open rate means visitors often leave before the trigger, for example a long delay.
- Conversions: successful actions in the popup, such as a sent form.
- Conversion rate: conversions divided by views.
- Closed: how often visitors closed the popup.
- Close rate: closes divided by views.
The chart and the table
The chart shows Views and conversions per day. Below it, every popup has its own row with the same numbers and whether it is on or off, so you can compare popups.
Before any visitor saw a popup in the period, the page says that statistics appear as soon as visitors see a popup.
Use the numbers
- High close rate, few conversions: the popup opens too early or the offer does not fit. Try a scroll trigger or a different page.
- Low open rate: shorten the delay or show it on pages where visitors stay longer.
- Not sure which version is better: run an A/B test. See A/B testing a popup.
Frequently asked questions
Why are there no conversions while I get form submissions?
Only forms shown inside the popup count as conversions. Check that the form is chosen under Form in this popup. Submissions from the same form on a normal page do not count for the popup.
Change when the popup opens in Popup triggers and targeting.
