The Connections tab in project settings lists every outside account your project uses, such as Google, Meta, LinkedIn, X, Pinterest, or Bluesky. You see at a glance which accounts still work, which need attention, and what each account is used for. When a connection stops working, you reconnect it from here.
Open your connections
- Click the gear icon next to the project switcher.
- Click Connections in the menu on the left.
At the top you see how many accounts are connected and how many need attention.
What each connection shows
- Status: Connected, Expires soon, Reconnect needed, Not working, Disconnected, or Finish the setup.
- Used for: what the account does for this project, such as Posts, Business profile, or Ads.
- When the access expires, or Renews by itself if it does not need you.
- When the account was last synced.
Reconnect an account
- Find the account with the status Expires soon, Reconnect needed, or Not working.
- Click Reconnect.
- Log in at the outside platform and allow access again.
After you return, the status shows Connected again. Use Manage to open the tool where the account is set up.
Connect a new account
You connect accounts in the tool that uses them, for example in Social media for your social profiles and Google Business Profile, or in Ads for ad accounts. The Connections tab collects them all in one list. If you have no accounts yet, click Connect accounts in Social media. See Connect your social media accounts.
Tip: Check this tab when posts stop going out or your business profile cannot reach Google. An expired connection is the most common cause. See also Business profile.
