A login link lets you log in to WEMASY without typing your password. WEMASY emails you a one-time link. You click it, confirm with a code, and you are in. Use it when you forgot your password and only need to get in quickly, or when you log in on a device where you do not want to type it.
How to request a login link
- Go to the WEMASY login page.
- Click Email me a login link under the login form.
- Enter the email address of your account in the Email field.
- Click Email me a login link.
WEMASY shows Check your email. Open your inbox and find the email from WEMASY.
How to log in with the link
- Open the email from WEMASY.
- Click the button in the email. A WEMASY page opens and shows One more check.
- Enter the code. If you use an authenticator app, enter the code from the app in Code from your authenticator app. Otherwise WEMASY emails you a second code: enter it in Code from the email.
- Click Log in.
WEMASY opens your dashboard. If you lost access to your authenticator app, use Use recovery code on the same screen and enter one of your recovery codes. See two-factor authentication.
How long the link and the code work
- The login link works once and for 30 minutes.
- The emailed code works for 10 minutes. Click Send me a new code if it expired.
- When you request a new link, older links that you did not use stop working.
If the link does not work
If you see This link does not work, the link was already used, expired or replaced by a newer one. Click Send me a new link and use the newest email.
If you see Too many requests, wait a few minutes and try again. WEMASY limits how often you can request links and codes to protect your account.
Check your spam folder if the email does not arrive. Click Back to log in to return to the normal login page.
Good to know
- Logging in with a link also confirms your email address. If your email was not verified yet, it is verified after this login.
- A login link does not change your password. To set a new password, see resetting your password.
Tip: Only click login links that you requested yourself. If you get a login email you did not ask for, ignore it and check your account security settings.
Frequently asked questions
Does a login link skip two-factor authentication?
No. After you click the link, WEMASY still asks for the code from your authenticator app. Without two-factor authentication, it asks for a code sent to your email instead.
Can I open the link on another device?
Yes. You are logged in on the device where you open the link and enter the code.
