The WEMASY AI chat makes most small changes on its own, such as editing a text or adding a section. For anything that is hard to undo or affects your live website, money, or domain, it stops and asks you first. This article explains which actions need your confirmation, how to answer, and how to undo a change.
Changes the AI makes on its own
Everyday edits run straight away, because you can easily change them back. Examples:
- Editing texts, images, and sections on a page.
- Creating a new page, form, or product.
- Changing colors, fonts, and your logo.
- Looking up information, such as visitors or orders.
The AI tells you in the chat what it changed. Your visitors only see changes after your website is published.
Actions that need your confirmation
For these actions the AI first explains what it is about to do and waits for your answer:
- Publishing: publishing your website live, changing the automatic publish schedule, and taking your website offline, into maintenance, or back live.
- Going back: restoring an earlier version of your website.
- Deleting and archiving: pages, sections and blocks, menus, layouts, templates, forms and form submissions, files, collections and their items, products and categories, redirects, and popups.
- Domains: changing DNS records or nameservers, changing the domain holder, switching the domain type of your website, and disconnecting a domain from a project.
- Orders: marking an order as paid, refunded, or cancelled.
- Ads and Ad Protection: launching ads, pausing keywords, blocking visitors, and changing protection settings.
- Other: running an import, duplicating a project, removing a theme, publishing a course, and sending a support ticket to WEMASY.
Answer a confirmation
- Read what the AI is about to do. For a publish, check the address it will publish to.
- Say yes, or click the yes option the chat shows, to let the AI go ahead.
- Say no, or ask for a change, to stop it.
Nothing happens until you answer.
Opening other websites
Sometimes the AI wants to look at a website outside your project, for example an example site you mention. It asks you first and fetches nothing until you say yes.
Undo a change
- Ask the AI to change it back, for example "Put the old heading back".
- Ask the AI to restore an earlier version of your website. It asks for your confirmation first.
- Fix it yourself in the Website Builder in Manual mode.
Tip: Be specific when you say yes. If the AI proposes to delete three pages and you only want two gone, say which two. See What the AI chat can do and Opening the AI chat.
Frequently asked questions
Can the AI publish my website without asking?
No. Publishing your website live always needs your confirmation in the chat.
Does a declined action cost credits?
Every AI answer uses some AI credits, also the message in which the AI asks for confirmation. A declined action is not carried out. See AI credits in the chat.
