Create an affiliate program

A program holds the rules of your affiliate program: how much affiliates earn, how long a referral counts, how conversions are approved and when you pay out. You need at least one program before affiliates can earn commission. You can have more than one, for example a standard program and a partner program with a higher rate.

Create a program

1. Open the product switcher and select Affiliate System.
2. Click Programs in the menu.
3. Click Add program.
4. Enter a Name and a Description.
5. Check the Slug. It is used in URLs and to identify the program.
6. Fill in the commission and payout fields described below.
7. Save the program.

Commission fields

• Months at the first rate: how many months the first rate applies. Enter 0 to use the lifetime rate from the first payment.
• Commission % (first {months} months): the share of every payment the affiliate earns during those first months.
• Commission % (lifetime): the share earned after that, for as long as the customer keeps paying.
• Commission % (high volume): an optional rate for your best affiliates.
• Recruiter commission per level (%): affiliates can invite other affiliates. Enter 5 to give the recruiter 5%. Enter 5, 2 to add 2% for the next level up.
• Recruiter commission is a share of: choose the recruit's commission or the customer's payment.
• Cookie days: how many days after a click a payment still counts for the affiliate.

Approval and payout fields

• Approval mode: Manual means you check every conversion under Approvals. API lets your own server answer whether a conversion is approved. API + manual uses your server and still lets you decide by hand.
• Approval endpoint and API key: only for the API modes. WEMASY sends the conversion to this address with the key.
• Verification required for payout: when on, an affiliate is paid only after you approve their identity check.
• Payout minimum (€): an affiliate is paid once their balance reaches this amount. A lower balance carries over to the next month.
• Currency: the currency of the program.

Webhook secret, export and import

The Programs screen also has a Webhook secret. Your own server sends it with conversions it reports to WEMASY, for example a payment made outside your webshop. Click Show to see it or New secret to replace it. The old secret stops working at once.

Use Export setup to save your programs, missions and badges as a file, and Import setup to load them into another project. The file never holds affiliates, money or API keys, and an import deletes nothing.

Tip: Start with one program and a single rate. Set Months at the first rate to 0 and fill in only the lifetime rate. Next, add affiliates and tracking links, or go back to Getting started with Affiliate System.
