The Ads tool does not show live numbers. It shows the data from the last sync with Google Ads and Meta. This article explains when the sync runs, how to start one yourself, and what to do when numbers are missing or old.
When data is synced
WEMASY syncs every connected ad account once a day, early in the morning in your project's time zone. By then the results of the day before are complete. The time of the latest sync shows on each tab, for example as Data from on the Google tab.
Start a sync yourself
For Google, or for both platforms at once:
- Open Ads from the product switcher.
- Click Full insights on the Overview.
- Click Sync now.
- Wait until the button no longer shows Syncing....
To sync one platform only, click the arrow next to the button (Sync options) and choose Sync Google or Sync Meta.
For Meta you can also click Sync now at the top of the Meta tab.
A full sync can take a while for large accounts. Leave the page open until it finishes.
Common problems and fixes
No sync yet or No Meta data yet
The account is connected, but no sync has run since. Start a sync as described above, or check back after the next morning.
Token expired on the Meta tab
Meta access has ended, so syncing returns nothing. Click Reconnect and log in again. Do the same when you see Meta access ends in ... days, so reporting keeps running. Steps are in Connect Meta ads.
Meta did not grant ...
A permission was skipped during the Meta login. Click Reconnect and allow every permission on Meta's screen.
Sync completed with errors
Part of the data could not be fetched, so some numbers may be incomplete. Run the sync again. If the message keeps coming back, contact WEMASY support.
Popup blocked
Your browser stopped the Google or Meta login window. Allow popups for the WEMASY dashboard and try again.
A new campaign is missing
New campaigns appear after the next sync. Start a sync yourself. For a Meta campaign you can also open it and click Retry sync.
Numbers differ from Google Ads or Meta Ads Manager
Make sure you compare the same date range and that the last sync is recent. Today's numbers are still incomplete on every platform.
Tip: Before you judge a campaign, check the time of the last sync on the tab. Old data is the most common reason numbers look wrong. Learn what each number means in Read your ad results.
Frequently asked questions
Does a sync change anything in my ad accounts?
No. A sync only reads your campaigns and results from Google and Meta and stores them in your project.
How do I stop the sync or disconnect an account?
Open the Google or Meta tab and click Disconnect on the connection card. The daily sync stops for that platform, and the results you already have stay visible. You can connect the account again at any time.
