The Website & webshop and All-in-one plans come with a 7-day free trial. During the trial you use the paid products of the plan in your project, such as your own domain name, before you pay anything. This article explains how the trial starts, how to follow it, and what happens when it ends.
How the trial starts
You start a trial when you choose a plan with a trial, usually when you sign up or create a new project. The plan button then says Try 7 days free or Start 7-day free trial. No payment is taken when the trial starts.
The trial belongs to one project. Each project can use the trial for a product once. A project that already had a trial for that product does not see the trial button again.
Follow your trial
While the trial runs, you see how many days are left in two places:
- The trial banner: a banner at the top of the dashboard shows Trial Active and the days you have left.
- Billing & Invoices: on the Subscriptions tab, the subscription shows its days left in trial and the status Trial.
WEMASY also sends you a reminder email before the trial ends.
Keep the plan after the trial
- Click Upgrade Now in the trial banner, or open the Subscriptions tab in Billing & Invoices.
- Choose Monthly or Yearly.
- Check your details and the order summary.
- Click Proceed to Checkout.
- Pay on the secure payment page.
You can do this on any day of the trial. The full steps are in Upgrading your plan.
When the trial ends
If you do not pay, the trial ends after 7 days. The banner changes to Trial Expired with the message to upgrade to continue, and an Upgrade Required button. The paid products of the plan are locked in that project until you choose a plan. On the Subscriptions tab, the subscription shows Trial expired.
You are not charged automatically when a trial ends, because no payment was set up when it started.
