AI credits pay for the work the WEMASY AI assistant does for you, such as building pages or writing content, and for the site assistant on your website. This article explains where your credits come from, where you see your balance, and how to buy more.
Where your credits come from
AI credits belong to your account and work in all your projects. There are two kinds:
- Weekly credits from your plan: paid plans include a set of credits every week. Weekly credits that you do not use expire at the end of the week, and then you get new ones. The free plan does not include weekly credits.
- Bought credits: credits you buy yourself. They stay until you use them and do not go back to zero at the end of the month.
See your balance
- Open any project.
- Open the project settings.
- Click the Usage tab.
- Scroll to AI credits.
The block shows how many credits are available, how many of this week's plan credits are left and when they renew, and how many bought credits you have.
Buy more credits
- Click Buy AI credits on the Usage tab.
- Under Choose an amount, pick one of the amounts, or click Custom amount and enter your own.
- Check the line that shows how many credits you get.
- Click Continue to payment.
- Pay in the Stripe checkout that opens in a new tab.
- Go back to the WEMASY tab. Your balance updates by itself. Click Check now if it has not changed yet.
When the payment is done, you see Credits added. If you closed the payment page without paying, you see Payment cancelled and no credits are added. The AI assistant can also open the top up window for you when your credits run low.
A credit purchase shows up on the Subscriptions tab of Billing & Invoices with the type AI credits (top-up).
The site assistant
On plans that include it, the site assistant answers visitors on your website. It uses the same AI credits. The Usage tab has a Set up the site assistant link that takes you to its settings.

Frequently asked questions
Are credits per project?
No. AI credits belong to your account. You can use them in every project you own.
Do bought credits expire?
No. Bought credits stay until you use them. Only the weekly credits from your plan expire at the end of the week.
I paid but my balance did not change. What now?
Wait a moment and click Check now. If the payment is still processing, the balance updates when it completes. If it still does not show, create a support ticket.
