Canvas can make finished designs for you in two ways. The AI makes designs from a short description, and layouts turn your texts into designs in several sizes at once. Both use the colors, fonts and logo of your website, and both save the results on the Canvas page so you can edit them.
Make designs with the AI
- Open Canvas from the product menu.
- Type what you need in the box at the top, for example Make 3 Facebook ads for our spring sale.
- Click Ask the AI.
The AI chat opens and the AI makes the designs in your brand. They show next to the chat, where you can download them, save them to your media library or open them in the editor. The designs are also saved under Recent designs on the Canvas page.
Other things you can ask:
- Design a logo for our business.
- An Instagram story that announces our new opening hours.
The AI uses your AI credits. See AI settings in your account.
Make designs from a layout
- Scroll to Layouts on the Canvas page.
- Choose Ads and posts or Logos.
- Click the layout you want.
- Select one or more sizes under Formats.
- Fill in the texts, such as Headline, Text and Button.
- Choose a Photo option.
- Click the make button, for example Make 3 designs.
WEMASY makes one design per format you selected, in one set. A long headline shrinks to fit, and small banners leave out the body text, so each size stays readable.
Text fields per layout
The fields depend on the layout. An offer layout asks for an Offer, a product layout for a Price, an event layout for a Date and Time and place, and a review layout for the Review and a Name. Logo layouts ask for a Name, a Tagline, Initials or an Icon.
Photo options
- No photo: a design with colors and text only.
- From the media library: pick an image you uploaded to your project.
- Find a photo: describe what the photo should show, for example fresh bread, and WEMASY places a fitting photo.
Start from an empty format
Under Start from a format, click a size to open an empty design in the editor. You can also click New design at the top of the page. See Editing a design in the Canvas editor.
Tip: Select several formats in one layout, such as a feed post, a story and a banner. You get a matching set for one campaign in a single step.
Frequently asked questions
The designs do not use my brand colors. What can I do?
Canvas takes the colors, fonts and logo from your website. Update them in the customization settings of your website, then make the designs again.
Can I change an AI design?
Yes. Every design the AI makes is saved on the Canvas page. Click Open to change texts, colors, images and layout in the editor.
