What is a Jump Link?

Home / Glossary / J / What is a Jump Link?

A jump link is a hyperlink that makes the user jump from one section of a website to another section of the site - usually on the same page. This is mostly used in pages that are very long and have too much content. The users get what they want to see in just one jump, and the entire time consumed for scrolling and navigating a section is saved.

Jump links on pages that have too much information reduce the bounce rates and help the users skip the entire navigation process. It reduces the frustration of the user and increases their interaction with the website they are on.
