What is Flyout Navigation?

The flyout navigation is the secondary menu that “flies out” on the screen when the user hovers or clicks on the main menu or the primary menu. They open either horizontally or vertically, based on how they are designed to appear on the website. It closes immediately and does not consume space on the main website page.

The drop-down from the main navigation menu is one example of the flyout navigation. It keeps the design clean and helps the user navigate through a broader set of options on the website quickly and seamlessly.
